Previously, I wrote about how lactose intolerance can be cure (click here to read the post.) To summarize we spoke about a 5 step method introduced by Jill Grunewald, a holistic coach and expert in food intolerance. These 5 steps include: Identify, Eliminate, Substitute, Heal and Reintroduce. The healing process is a six month process, yes SIX MONTHS!
HOW TO HEAL THE GUT?
Now for how to actually fix the gut. Grunewald recommends bone broth, prebiotics, probiotics, apple cider vinegar and fermented foods such as kimchi, sauerkraut, and kombucha on a daily basis. There is no restriction in the daily dose, so the more you eat the quicker the fix to the gut.
Here a guidance of what bone broth, prebiotics, probiotics, apple cider vinegar and fermented foods such as kimchi, sauerkraut, and kombucha should be taken on a daily basis. I have also began taking them, here my recommendation:
THE FOLLOWING ARE MANDATORY
When it comes to probiotics, for the first two months begin with a weak probiotic. A too strong probiotic will prevent healing taking place productively. The probiotic I recommend a probiotic by Optimal Health.
Recommended Dose: Take two capsules two times a day (morning and evening) with or after meals.
The next 4 months(based on research) I suggest the following probiotic:Digestive Advantage Probiotics – Lactose Defense Formula Probiotic Capsules. This probiotic is specially designed to heal the gut of an individual suffering from lactose intolerance.
Dosage: Please read package insert.
The following prebiotic by Bio-Nutrion will assist the healing of the gut:
Dosage: Recommended Dose: Take two capsules two times a day (morning and evening) with or after meals.
The following will greatly assist with the healing of the gut and should be taken in addition to the probiotic and prebiotic, which can be found at the local store or online:
Dosage: The above mentioned can be eaten in any quantities, but my recommendation is taking them in moderation.
Well, since now there is a cure. Who will be joining me for a SIX MONTH CHALLENGE? Would love to hear your comments.
