Review: Lactaid Fast Act Lactase Enzyme Supplement

INSTANT RELIEF FROM LACTOSE INTOLERANCE

  1. Lactaid lactaid2

When I discovered I was lactose intolerant in 2010, I thought I would never be able to enjoy dairy products. Until I discovered Lactaid. Basically, Lactaid prevents the symptoms of lactose intolerance such as gas, bloating and diarrhea after eating or drinking dairy products. Lactaid is a supplement that replaces the lactase enzyme in the digestive system that breaks down lactose (sugar found in milk and dairy); and allows you enjoy any dairy product with no problems at all.

Personally, Lactaid is the best lactase enzyme on the market. It works effectively and allows you to enjoy your meals and drinks with no interruptions.

Who can take Lactaid: 4 years and up

Dosage: Swallow 1 -2 caplet(s) with the first bite or drink of dairy. If one continues to eat or drink dairy for 30-45 minutes continuously, an extra caplet should be taken.

Can I take Lactaid frequently: Lactaid can be used with every meal and snack, every second- every minute,-every hour-every day!

Cost: $12.00

Hope Lactaid has helped you enjoy all the favorite delicacies that you have been missing all these years!

If Lactaid has allowed you to enjoy dairy products, please share your experience.

    Hey Uwais,

It’s so weird how some people can be lactose intolerant and some aren’t. Is there a particular reason why people suffer from it and are certain ethnic backgrounds more likely to be affected than others?

Also, if Lactaid be crushed up and mixed in water, would it still be effective?

Different people with different genes are affected. In this time and age we are exposed to a lot of unhealthy products that weaken our gut. It can affect any person from any background irrespective of their race and nationality.

Lactaid is tolerable in water so it can be mixed. I hope this answers your questions.

Wow, I’m glad I stumbled on this post because I always thought there was nothing you could do for lactose intolerance. I don’t have it that bad, but I do love my ice cream and would love to be able to eat it without the side effects. I will definitely try this! 🙂

I know there are many sufferers who are unable to enjoy diary products. I have heard of Lactaid and was curious if it was effective, but it sounds like it certainly is effective. You mentioned you can take it as many times as you need during the day, but is it possible to take too much. You know how some medications are not safe when taking into huge dosages.

      Hi,

It an enzyme – so it behaves as a catalyst (if you familiar with science). It does not have a reaction on the body. Hence no side effects or overdose when taking too much.

I didn’t know there really is a supplement that can help you with lactose intolerance. This one really seems to be of great help.

Thanks for providing details on the dosage. The fact that even 4 years up can take it makes me feel comfortable with it. But can it really be taken over years several times a day without any side effects?

      Hi,

This enzyme is like a catalyst (if you familiar with science). It does not have a reaction. It just enters the system, breaks down lactose – by speeding up a reaction like a catalyst in a chemical reaction. So it plays no role in forming a reaction, thus no side effects.

This is great!!! I don’t have a full on lactose intolerance but I do have celiacs disease and from eating gluten for so long before my diagnosis it really tore up my gut and all the little celia that helped me break up the more difficult molecules from dairy products are not as effective. I do get the side effects of lactose intolerance from my celiacs so maybe this could help! I am definitely going to try this. Have you heard anything from other people with celiacs trying this product with success?

    Great post!

      Hi Krista,

Its actually the first time I heard about celiacs and did a bit research about this. I have not heard anyone that has had problems with this. If you have tried this product, please follow up and let me know. I would love to know more about it.

    Hello Uwais
A fine article on Lactose Intolerance.
I must admit I have never heard of Lactaid but as you put the cost in dollars I’m taking it for granted it is only on sale in the USA.
That’s a pity because my youngest grandson is Lactose Intolerant and his mother has to make him separate meals from the rest of the family every day.
As a young mother with a young family this can be a struggle as you can soon run out of ideas and recipes.
Also as the grandson is only 3 years old he couldn’t take Lactaid for another year anyway as you state – 4 years and up.
I will tell my daughter about it though and she might be able to get her hands on some to try it out.
    Regards

    Hi Uwais
Short and straight to the point review of an amazing product.

Yes, I have tried it.At least not me, but I have given it to my nephew. He is 8years old.In addition to the bloating and gas, he also complained of cramping. After taking this, it eased down so well, it simply was amazing.

Nothing worked as well as this.

I would recommend this any day to anyone suffering from the unpleasant effects of lactose intolerance.

    Great Product.
    Thanks

Thank you for this information. Good to see that you respond using science. It is an enzyme – so it behaves as a catalyst. It is also good to know that it does not have a reaction on the body and that it does not have side effects or overdose when taking too much. I am assuming it can be used over a long period of time, right? Thanks.

I like the way you wrote out all the symptoms. I think more people a lactose intolerant, but don’t know that that is what it is. My husband is lactose intolerant and drink the silk coconut almond milk, the mix of the two helps cut down on the overwhelming taste of almond or coconut. I just started drinking it because of the low calories and it tastes pretty good. Thanks for the help! Is the lactaid price for a box of 60?

Hi there, yes it is for a box of 60s. I didnt know you get the combination of both – I definitely will try coconut-almond milk. You should give lactaid a try – it will solve your lactose intolerance solutions.

I’ve honestly always had no problem with dairy products my whole life. I think I drank a gallon a milk in a few days when I was little.

But I’ve pretty much stopped all dairy over the last few years because I never felt right after. Never been diagnosed as lactose intolerant, but hey maybe I’ll give this a shot.

Pretty cheap too, so if it works will be easy to keep buying! Thanks for the information.

Modern medicine is so useful in our daily lives. It’s so nice to be able to enjoy the “normal” things of life even when our bodies are malfunctioning in some way. Modern medicine really helps people achieve things beyond their natural capacity. Think of all the great people in history that no one has ever heard of. They simply didn’t have the remedies that modern medicine provides. It really is a blessing to live is this day and age. I’m glad you are able to still enjoy dairy products with the help of this medicine. I also enjoy dairy products very much. Would it be possible to grind up these caplets and mix them with food and/or drink?

Interesting. I wasn’t aware of any solution for lactose intolerance. A few years back I was doing a diet consisting of milk shakes and I realised I had a lactose intolerance. I had a sever reaction with severe diarrhoea, headaches and feeling totally run down. At the time I didn’t even know that people could have this intolerance. Anyway – glad to see there is a solution out there for people. Thanks for the info.

Lactaid seems a very interesting product for those who are lactose intolerant. What is interesting here is that thanks to this product, you don’t have to change your everyday eating habits. And you can take as much Lactaid as you want, so you don’t have to restrain yourself! Thanks for sharing!

This sounds like a great product! I am fortunately not lactose intolerant, but now I know what to recommend to friends who are! As far as your review goes, it’s great – very conversational and easy to understand. I would like to see a little more information, though. Perhaps go into a little more detail about enzymes, because not everyone knows what those are. Additionally, you could share a before and after experience. Personal experience speaks volumes to visitors!

Thank for your review of Lactaid, I’m intolerant to dairy but allergic to grain according to tests. To be honest, I’d forgotten about lactaid because a couple of years ago I inquired about it in the UK and it was impossible to get it. So, today I decided to do my research and hey presto i can now get it.
Funny enough, I don’t seem to get the issues I once did. I can tolerate a very small amount now, but I mean small amount like a little caesar dressing is ok or a few small cubes of cheese once in a while and I’m not affected. The lactaid will come in handy should I want to go out for a meal with friends.

Life definitely seems unfair at times because everybody has some kind of body defects, whether its on the inside or the outside. I feel for people who are intolerant to lactose and unable to consume dairy products without having any problems.
As we all know, most chocolates, milk, ice cream almost have dairy contents because of these some people are missing out on these good stuff. Thank you for sharing you personal recommendation Lactaid, I will share this post so others with similar problems can benefit from this.

    Hi Uwais,
thank you for getting this product known, as far as I know I am not lactose intolerant but I know some people who are in that boat. There is quite a few some milk alternatives nowadays (almond, rice, soja etc…) but as you said, it is hard to have to give up on some foods we love so much. Thank you for sharing your experience with us 🙂

    Cheers,

I’ve heard that a lot of people are having issues with the regular milk. so I believe this product will be very helpful for those who are looking for ways to avoid the lactose. Hello here, I am sorry that you have this condition. One thing is good that you can share your experience with others, who maybe do not know why do not feel well.
As I know, milk overall is a heavy product. It is better to stay from it. Fermented products work better for us.
This digestive enzyme, called lactase, is really important for us. It prevents us from bloating, constipation.
I am glad that you found a product, which helps you feel good.
    All the best, Nemira.

Thanks for the information. If I had read that last night I wouldn’t have been awake all night with a stomach ache. Is there side effects of taking those long term? Been doing a lot of research on dairy so I’m trying to cut it out completely not only because I am lactose intolerant.
    Thanks,

      Hi

No side effects. An enzyme is like a catalyst, in science a catalyst is used to speed up a chemical reaction and takes no part in the reaction. An enzyme will not have side effects.

This is a great review. My husband just found out that he is intolerant to dairy. It’s tough to always cook without and he sincerely loves cheese. I feel so bad for him… I’ll definitely HAVE to get this at the store today. Maybe I can get him some really fine Brie or Gouda along with it!! 🙂 Thanks for this post.

I was reading through your website and am wondering if you are saying that you can feel OK by the different milks you drink? What else can you do if you are lactose intolerant beside avoiding certain milks? I also wondered if I am and but have never stopped eating dairy. I like your website but feel there is a lot of info missing…you might still be working on it and thats fine. It looks great so far 🙂

I know you said you can take this with every meal, but surely that can’t be good for you? Is it intended to be used every day, or just for occasional use? I am lactose intolerant but I also find that some of these kinds of supplements upset my stomach, I’d be interested to know what’s in this one.

Lactose intolerance can be quite annoying for many people, especially when they don’t get to enjoy the foods they truly love. It becomes a question if it’s worth it to really eat that milkshake or pay for it later! This appears to be a good product. Thanks for the review.
